Spent some time slicing up this monstrosity of a 3D Printed game board I made. It's an idea I've had floating around in the back of my head for a while now, and I finally finished the game board.
The idea of this game is a group of monkeys racing up a mountain to grab a golden banana while other monkeys drop boulders on the path to stop them. It's inspired by an 80's board game called Tornado Rex: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ky5reqgy1W0
In that game, there was a top that would knock your hikers off the trail. I love the concept of it, I think games with a little bit of physicality are great design space, but making a spring loaded top in a 3D printed game is not gonna happen here. Falling rocks, on the other hand...

Oh heck yeah! I've made a 3D printed board game and it was a blast designing it! How're you enjoying that part of it?
Uh, it's 13 parts and I'll probably need a week and a half of printing and at least 4 or 5 kg of filament to make the board alone. Still need to make the monkeys, boulder, and banana.
